Dr. Michelle LaBrunda, M.D. believes that having a healthy lifestyle (the combination of exercise, diet, and psychosocial health) is the best way to prevent diseases.
Her healthcare mindset is founded on long-term relationships with honest and open communication. Dr. Michelle has found that when her patient’s mind, body, and psychosocial needs are all addressed by the same doctor, they are often healthier and happier.
Dr. Michelle is more than a physician. She is also a consultant dedicated to global health who volunteers abroad to teach medical skills and run disaster simulations with international students.
She stays fit by walking, swimming, practicing yoga, and occasionally weightlifting. She also understands the benefits of aerobic exercises like running, cycling, and playing soccer, and recommends her patients do these activities to stay healthy.
Dr. Michelle is a longtime vegetarian (over 10 years) who knows lots of benefits, tips, and tricks to help patients start or maintain their vegetarian and vegan diets.
She graduated from medical school at Tecnológico de Monterrey Escuela de Medicina in Mexico and completed her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.
