Job Description:

Nurse Practitioners can focus on providing high-quality patient care through a variety of modalities. SteadyMD takes care of the rest.

Our clinicians provide patient assessments, evaluations and triage, develop ongoing care plans, and conduct follow-up appointments and specialist referrals.

As part of developing treatment plans, our nurse practitioners are involved in prescribing medications when clinically appropriate.

There may also be opportunities to serve in other capacities:

  • Serve as a program-specific Clinical Lead
  • Conduct chart reviews
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Develop clinical protocols
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert

What does a day in the life look like for a SteadyMD Nurse Practitioner?
We offer a variety of program options to suit different needs. Some programs feature real-time patient consultations while others provide quick, self-paced visits. Our range of medical care and wellness includes urgent care, primary care, chronic care management, behavioral health services, and care targeted to specific conditions. We’re regularly expanding our program offerings.
Does SteadyMD provide collaborating physicians for Nurse Practitioners?
Yes, SteadyMD will connect you with a collaborating doctor who meets the legal requirements for your state medical license.
How does remote nurse practitioner onboarding work?
SteadyMD has a two-step onboarding process. First, when you join as a new provider, you’ll complete company-wide training and paperwork. Then, when you start a new program, you’ll receive specialized onboarding. Our onboarding team will guide you through both steps, from contract signing to program launch.
How does scheduling work? Is there a minimum number of hours required to be part of the SteadyMD Care Team?
Our program schedules vary. Some are preset shifts, while others allow you to set availability and accept visits as you’re available. You can adjust your schedule within each program’s needs. Many programs offer weekend and after hours options. To join our team, we ask for a 5 hour weekly commitment, though some programs require more. This flexibility provides you with more work-life balance.
Are there opportunities for full-time or part-time salaried positions?
At this time, we do not have any full-time or part-time salaried roles available.
Do Nurse Practitioners receive benefits through SteadyMD?
Yes. Clinicians receive paid training, administrative assistance, malpractice insurance, including tail coverage.
Does SteadyMD reimburse for licensing fees?
SteadyMD may cover licensure fees or obtain additional licenses for you, if pre-approved by Licensing and Credentialing. Reimbursement and licensing support is evaluated case by case.
Are Nurse Practitioners responsible for documentation/charting?
Yes, nurse practitioners complete visit charting/documentation but don’t handle billing or scheduling administrative tasks.
Are you also hiring Physician Assistants?
We are not hiring physician assistants, registered nurses, or pediatric, geriatric, or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners at this time.
