Dr. Tania Elliott, M.D. is dual board-certified as an Internal Medicine physician and as an Allergist/Immunologist. With more than 10 years of medical experience, she believes in an approach to chronic disease management and prevention that focuses on treating the root cause of your symptoms.
Much of her work focuses on allergies, asthma and immunology. She makes regular appearances on television programs such as Dr. Oz, Good Morning America, and CBS This Morning to discuss these topics in detail. She has also written several publications on these subjects.
An avid supporter of telemedicine and virtual care, Dr. Tania has treated more than 7,000 patients through video. On-demand access to care, she believes, is especially vital for anyone who may suffer from allergies. Oftentimes, when patients wait to see a doctor in an office, the allergic reaction has already resolved itself. Through video, she can tour the patients home and better identify what might be causing symptoms.
Also an expert in food sensitivities and intolerances, Dr. Tania provides guidance on creating food diaries, reading food labels, and identifying healthy substitutes. To treat larger underlying causes, she may prescribe dietary programs such as gluten-free, FODMAPs, or low-histamine diets.
Dr. Tania supports new and ambitious strategies to improve the complicated and often ineffective healthcare experience for patients. In fact, her innovation in the healthcare industry earned her recognition from the MM&M Transformers and Catalyst Awards as one of the Top 40 Healthcare Transformers of 2019. In addition to her work with SteadyMD, she also serves as the Medical Director of Clinical Solutions at Aetna in New York City.
Dr. Tania grew up in New York and went to college and medical school in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University. There, she was also an All-Conference soccer player and went on to play abroad at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Dance is another one of her favorite ways to workout, especially Zumba.
