I’m excited to share news of our $25 million Series B capital raise to enhance our company’s platform offering that now powers the telehealth infrastructure of digital health businesses and employers. Lux Capital led the round, with Partner Deena Shakir joining our board. Lux is joined by Sound Ventures, Acrew Capital, Pelion Venture Partners, NEXT VENTŪRES, Anne Wojcicki, Draper Associates, and other investors. We are fortunate to work with such an experienced and passionate group.
In 2016, we launched a first for healthcare: affordable, virtual concierge primary care. Suddenly, anyone, anywhere in the U.S. had access to a doctor who had time for them, understood their unique needs, and provided a continuous relationship to manage their health.
The core of our business is built on trust — between the clinicians, the patients, and the company. With us, patients nationwide have experienced quality comprehensive care they cannot access anywhere else. We’re proud to have built a platform that patients love and doctors love working on. Along the way, we built all the necessary clinical, technology, legal, and regulatory operations to become a full-service digital health company servicing patients in all 50 states.
Then came 2020, a rare moment that fundamentally changed an industry: millions of people trying something new in online healthcare (and recognizing the benefits) for the first time.
We realized that our platform and team could help other digital health companies grow and thrive. We started experimenting with a few partnerships in which we began to support telehealth for other companies. Then “word got out”. The core components of our operation were critical to help companies in the digital health industry meet demand. In a short time, we’ve helped some of the most innovative and impactful companies give more patients access to better care.
It’s a fulfilling opportunity to wake up every day and have a direct impact in enabling patients to lead healthier and happier lives. I’m thankful to work with an amazing co-founder, employees, physicians and partners on this journey.
