Frequently Asked Questions

How does the recruiting process work?
After your application is reviewed, you’ll be invited to complete a 1-way video interview. If selected, you will have a brief interview with a member of our recruiting team. The last step in the interview process is a brief clinical interview with one of our clinician leads. After the interviews are complete, you’ll be sent a conditional offer and be connected with our credentialing team. Our credentialing team will work with you to complete background checks and credentialing. Once background checks and credentialing is complete, you’ll be sent an official contract.
What does a day in the life look like for a SteadyMD therapist?
SteadyMD powers telehealth for a multitude of companies, so we have several different program opportunities available. For our mental health clinicians, most of our programs are pre-scheduled talk therapy sessions. Clients served through our partners may be experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, ADD, ADHD, or life changes. It’s important to us that virtual talk therapy is an appropriate platform for all of our clients.
How does compensation/billing work?
SteadyMD handles all billing and compensates therapists on a monthly basis. All visits are in real-time with clients who have been pre-matched to you by our partners. Depending on your state of licensure and the program you are serving, you will provide therapy, assessments, and client consultations in 30-90 minute sessions. Most sessions are 45-60 minutes, and documentation is compensated. Training and onboarding are paid at a separate, non-clinical rate.
When would I be expected to start?
Once a contract is signed, we will begin the onboarding process. You can start as soon as onboarding is complete.
How does onboarding work?
SteadyMD has two levels of onboarding: one at the company level when you join the SteadyMD Care Team and when you onboard to specific programs. Once your contract is signed with SteadyMD, you will be invited to complete the required training for hire. You will be connected with our onboarding team who will walk you through the steps in the onboarding process.
How does scheduling work? Is there a minimum number of hours required to be part of the SteadyMD Care Team?
You are able to set your availability within the needs of each program. Many programs have weekend and early evening opportunities. To be part of our SteadyMD Care Team, we ask that you are able to regularly dedicate at least 5-10 hours per week to your programs, but some programs may require additional hours to participate.
Do therapists receive benefits through SteadyMD?
All clinicians receive paid training, assistance with scheduling and administration, and malpractice insurance, including tail coverage.
Does SteadyMD reimburse for licensing fees?
In some instances, SteadyMD may reimburse for licensure fees or pursue additional licensure on your behalf. Reimbursement or additional licensure support must be expressly approved through the Licensing and Credentialing department.
Are therapists responsible for documentation/charting?
Yes, our therapists are responsible for their own charting/documentation during the visit.
