I’m a Terrible Patient.

I don’t like being a patient because I don’t like being sick. My life, both personal and professional, centers around prevention and health optimization. I want the same for my patients. I don’t want you sick. I don’t want you in the hospital. Let’s stay well together. Let’s use as many resources we can think of to keep you healthy. Let’s talk and theorize and scheme to enhance every aspect your life.

Healthcare is a Balancing Act.

As a physician, wife, and mom, I struggle to find balance. You do too. Maybe you’re wearing the same hats I am. Maybe you have more to juggle. Maybe less. Regardless, we need to find balance in a world that will take everything from us if we let it. Our overall health is a combination of physical, emotional and spiritual aspects. If one is left unattended, the whole person suffers. I support my patients as they strive to find balance and keep a steady equilibrium in their lives.

So, I hate it when I go to get my oil changed and they make all these extra recommendations that are over my head and I don’t understand. Then I feel stupid asking questions so I just go along with what they recommend because I really need my oil changed! Your medical care should NOT be like this. You should be a part of the understanding and planning. I’m here to consult and direct, but we make decisions together. I love patients who take an active and interested role in their healthcare.
